The Challenge
Teenage Engineering's TP-7 is an icon of industrial design — a field recorder that blurs the line between tool and art object. We set out to recreate it entirely in Spline 3D using only primitives and boolean operations, delivering a web-ready interactive model that loads instantly.

Pure Primitive Modeling
Every detail — the disc mechanism, buttons, side knobs, and sliders — was constructed from cubes, cylinders, circles, and spline curves, combined through boolean operations. No external 3D tools or imported meshes. The constraint forced creative problem-solving at every step.
